Athletes of HKAAA Member Clubs can apply for registration as HKAAA athletes through their club representatives throughout the year. The Registration Guideline & Application forms are available at HKAAA office and at HKAAA homepage www.hkaaa.com
Registration fee for the year 2008 (1 January - 31 December) is HK$80 for Senior Athletes aged 20 or above, and HK$40 for Junior Athletes aged 10 - 19 (born on 1 January 1989 to 31 December 1998)
Once registered, athletes will grant permission to HKAAA to utilize their appearance, name, voice, bio-data and likeness in connection with the organization and promotion of HKAAA's and SF&OC's events, without prior inspection.
Completed registration forms should be returned to the HKAAA Office for process. Registration Card can be collected after 14 working days.
After registration, athletes are allowed to practice according to the HKAAA's training schedule at the designated LCSD sports ground. For satety, athletes must follow guidelines as advised by the HKAAA and the LCSD from time to time.
Regulations for Training in the LCSD's Sports Ground

HKAAA
registered athletes who are comply with
the regulations for training issued
by the LCSD and HKAAA, are entitled
to use the Wanchai Sports Ground, Monday
to Friday, from 6:00p.m to 9:00p.m and
the Shamshuipo Sports Ground, Wednesday
and Friday, 6:00p.m to 9:00p.m free
of charge for the purpose of training
or practice, subject to the availability
of the Sports Grounds.

Athletes
must show their valid registration cards
when entering the sports grounds.

Discus
Throw and Hammer Throw are permitted
on Tuesdays to Friday; Javelin Throw
is permitted on Mondays (Wanchai Sports Ground), Wednesdays
and Fridays (Shamshuipo Sports Ground)), the arrangement will be
reversed on alternate month. Meanwhile,
Shot Put is permitted from Monday to
Friday.

Registered
coaches of the HKAAA can borrow equipment
such as hurdles, discus, etc.

Athletes
who can produce valid ˇ§Throwing
Implement User Cardˇ¨ are allowed
to borrow throwing equipment.

Lanes
2,3 and 4 of the track are used for
sprinting practice; Lane 5 and 6 are
used for hurdling. Athletes should run
in anti-clockwise direction.

Athletes
should be responsible for their own
safety and should not do anything harmful
to other parties.
- Officers
at the sports grounds have the right
to stop any athlete from practicing
if they do not follow the regulations.
Pass For Using Weight Training Room at Wanchai Sports Ground
HKAAA registered athletes can apply a Pass for using the weight training facilities at the Wanchai Sports Ground, Monday to Friday, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00p.m. A declaration of proficiency in using weight training equipment and willingness to be responsible for their own risk must be signed during the application for the Pass. Applicant fee for the year 2008 (1 January to 31 December) is HK$100 for both senior and junior registered athletes. |
