Hong Kong Women Relay Team won a bronze medal in the Women・s 4X100m Relay, with a time of 45.71, and they broke 2 Hong Kong Records in the Women・s 4X100m and 4X400m Relay which was set in 1982. In the Women・s High Jump, Yip Hiu Lam finished in the third place with a performance of 1.60m and Leong Yuen Fan won the bronze medal in the Women's 5000m.
2009/12/12East Asian Games Day 3
Yiu Kit Ching won her second bronze medals in the Women's 1500m, with a time of 4:40.71, in the third day of the Athletics Competition of the Hong Kong 2009 East Asian Games.In Women・s Triple Jump, Tse Mang Chi finished in the third place with a performance of 12.30m, helping Hong Kong to get the fourth medal. Local sprinters also performed well in today's 100m events. Lai Chun Ho and Tsui Chi Ho finished fourth and fifth in the Men・s event with a time of 10.53 second and 10.57 second respectively, while Leung Hau Sze and Wan Kin Yee also had a satisfactory performance in the Women・s 100m, finishing in the fourth (12.17 second) and fifth place (12.38 second) respectively.
2009/12/11East Asian Games Day 2
Hong Kong 2009 East Asian Games entered the second day of Athletics Competition. Our Hong Kong representatives successfully won two medals today. Women・s 3000m Steeplechase athlete・s Yiu Kit Ching and the Men・s Decathlon athlete・s Ng Chit Wing won a bronze medal respectively.
Besides, Lee Ka Shum broke the Hong Kong Record in Women・s Discus Throw with a result of 40.82m, 21cm better than her own previous record set in November.
