Hong Kong Junior Age Group Athletic Meet 2007
Regulations
1. Categories: Boys and Girls Categories ( A1, A2,B, C, D, participants should be born in 1988-1997):
A1: Born in 1988-1997
A2: Born in 1990-1997
B: Born in 1992-1997
C: Born in 1994-1997
D: Born in 1996-1997
Remarks: Athletes in A1 & A2 categories will compete separately at the following events: 100m, 200m,
400m, 800m, 1500m, 110mH, 100mH, 400mH, 4X100m, 4X400m and all the field events,
except 5000m. The prizes and records will all be counted separately.
2. Rules:
a.) All 5000m athletes must be born in 1988-1991.
b.) Age Group Record will be counted according to the categories of the participants entered.
c.) Age Group Record Breaker should provide a copy of age certification document to HKAAA for record filing.
d.) Age Group Participants should bring a copy of the Identity Certificate for age and name verification.
e.) All athletes must wear the designated number cloths on the chest issued by the HKAAA. The same number cloth will be used for two daysˇ¦ events. Any request for re-printing number cloth should be done at Roll Call Station, an administration fee of HK$50 for each piece will be charged.
f.) Team representatives should collect the number cloths, pins and programme at Registration counter.
g.) Athletes of the same relay team must wear the same uniform for competition.
h.) The event will go straight to Final, if 8 or less than 8 athletes/teams reporting to the Roll Call Station after the final call. The race will then be held at the time as pre-scheduled for final.
i.) The top 8 athletes of all heats in each event will be qualified for Final.
j.) In considering some of the athletes competing in both individual and relay events, close to be exhausted under the tight ompetition schedule, all relay teams will only compete in straight final. If there are more than 8 teams reported at roll call station, all teams will run in separate heats and the final position and prizes will be determined by their finishing times.
k.) Athletes of the track events who are qualified to the finals after the heats, but are failed to compete in these final events, will not be allowed to compete in any upcoming events (including relays and field events).
l.) If only one athlete is reported to Roll Call Station on race day, this particular event will be cancelled. Entry fee of the reported athlete will then be refunded after the race.
m.) IAAF and HKAAA rules will be applied to this Meet. Under all circumstances, final decision will be made by referee.
3. Awards:
a.) Medals will be awarded to the top three positions of each event in each category.
b.) Prize Presentation will be held within 30 mins after the finish of an event.
c.) Prize Presentation for Track Events will be held once the positions are ratified.
d.) Winners of Field events will be escorted to the Prize Presentation Area immediately after the finish of the events.
e.) The Organizing Committee has set standards for all individual events, athletes who pass the standards could receive a certificate.
f.) Certificates will be awarded to athletes who break Hong Kong Record/HKAAA Record/Hong Kong Junior Record/HKAAA Junior Record/Hong Kong Age Group Record.
4. Roll Call:
a.) All athletes must report to the Roll Call Station on time, officials will escort the reported athletes
to the competition area after the end of the call. Athletes who fail to report to Roll Call Station will be treated as absence and will not be allowed to compete.

c.) Relay teams should submit their team lists to roll call station in 2 hours prior to the competition.
Any late submission will not be accepted and the team will be disqualified.
d.) Participants should present age certification document or its copy to Roll Call official during Roll Call Time.
5. Crowd Control:
a.) Warm up area : Athletes should use the designated warm up area.
b.) Only officials and athletes in competition are allowed to enter the competition area.
c.) Athletes should leave the competition area once finishing their events.
6. Clothes Collection:
Athletes of track events may collect their clothes outside the Equipment Room near the finishing line.
7. Entries:
a.) All entries should be made by schools or HKAAA Affiliated Clubs, individual entries will not be accepted
b.) Each school has 3 entry quota for each individual event in each category, while HKAAA Affiliated
Clubs do not restricted by the quota system.
c.) Please fill in the Entry Form with BLOCK letters and use separate form for different sex and category.

(2)self-addressed, and stamped envelope,

e.) Receipt and Race Schedule will be sent to the participants once their applications are accepted. If participants do not receive any reply 1 week prior to the race day, please contact the HKAAA as soon as possible. (Tel: 2504 8215)
f.) Entry by fax or e-mail will not be accepted.
g.) Organizer reserves the right to reject any application with unclear information or incomplete entry form.
h.) If there is over-subscription in any event, HKAAA will have the following arrangement:
(1) Application will be accepted as the first come first serve basis, or
(2) Qualifying Rounds of those events will be held on the Friday before the event day.
8. Fees:
HK$10.00 for each individual event, HK$25.00 for each relay event. Cheque should be made payable to ˇ§Hong Kong Amateur Athletic Association Limitedˇ¨.
9. Refund:
Entry fee is non-refundable once entry has been accepted.
10. Protest:
Any protest to the Jury of Appeal must be made in writing within 30 minutes after the announcement of the result, and shall be accompanied by a deposit of HK$100.00, which will be refunded if the protest is upheld.
11. Declaration:
a.) All athletes agree to abide by all rules and conditions of the Organiser and the organising
committee reserves the right of interpreting and amending the regulations.
b.) All athletes grant permission and assign all rights, title and interest to the Organiser to utilize
their appearance, names, voice, bio-data likeness in connection with the Event in any promotion and
publicity; and agree to waive any right of inspection or approval associated thereto.
c.) All athletes discharge the Organiser as well as any other individual or organisation connected
directly or indirectly with this Event from any responsibility in injury, death or loss of property
incurred during, as consequence of or while traveling to or from the competition.
