Enrollment Criteria
Round 1 to Round 4 :
All athletes who born in or before 1998 are eligible to enter Round 1 to Round 4.
Final Round :
The Organizing Committee will invite athletes who are qualified for the Final Round, no open entry will be accepted. Details can be referred to the ¡§Final Round Enrollment Criteria¡¨ listed below .
Award
1. Medals will be awarded to the top three positions of each event in each round.
2. Special awards will be awarded to the athletes in the Final Round, details will be provided in due course.
Final Round Enrollment Criteria
After the first four rounds of competition, athletes in top 8 ranking in each event (only the best result in the first four rounds will be counted), will be invited to participate in the Final Round.
Athletes must participate in a single event at least 3 times in the first 4 rounds , will be eligible to be ranked in that single event.
If a qualified athlete who qualified for more than one event, he / she can choose to participate one, multiple or all of the events, but they must notify the Organizing Committee before specified deadline.
If qualified athletes of a single event who turned down the invitation, the Organizing Committee will automatically invite the athletes ranked in only 9 th and/or 10 th to replace the position.
For events requiring Wind Speed Measurement Equipment, its ranking will be prepared in accordance to the Wind Speed Measurement Rules.
If athletes are unable to participate in any of the first four rounds because of representing Hong Kong Athletic Team for overseas competition, they will not be treated as absence.
Rules:
According to the HKAAA's ¡§Recommendation on the Age Limits for Distance Running¡¨, Participants of 5,000m and 10,000m must be born in 199 2 or before. Participants of 3,000mSC must be born in 199 4 or before. Please refer to HKAAA Handbook for more details.
For any event requires Wind Speed measurement, its Record Breaking and Standard Achievement will only be recognized with a recognized Wind Speed (without wind assist)
Details of Hong Kong Record / HKAAA Record could be referred to the ¡§Rankings and Records¡¨ of the HKAAA Handbook.
Any protest must be made in writing within 30 minutes after the announcement of the results of that particular event, and accompanied with a deposit of HK$100, which will be forfeited if the protest is not upheld.
All participants must wear the designated number cloths issued by the HKAAA. New number cloth will be issued at each round. An administrative fee of HK$50 will be charged for each re-printing of number cloth. Re-issue of number cloths can be done at roll call station.
All vests should be completely the same among all members of the relay team.
All athletes please use the entrance in the centre of the spectator stand to enter the Roll Call Station. And we will announce the Roll Call Time and the Roll Call procedure according to the clock that located at the scoreboard.
For track events, if no more than 8 competitors reporting to the Roll Call Station after the End of Call, the event will straight through to Final and it will be held at the scheduled time for final.
In Track Events, top 8 positions of qualifying rounds will be qualified for Finals. The dispose of lanes will be rearranged from 2008:
-------------- For the final, one draw will be made for the four highest ranked athletes to determine placing in lanes 3, 4, 5 and 6.
----------- Another draw will be made for the four lowest ranked athletes to determine placing in lanes 1, 2, 7 and 8. In considering some of the athletes competing in both individual and relay events, close to be exhausted under the tight competition schedule, all relay teams will only compete in straight final. If there are more than 8 teams reported at roll call station, all teams will run in separate heats and the final position and prizes will be determined by their finishing times.
In order to provide a better preparation for relay athletes, HKAAA revised the Roll Call Time for relay events to 15-25 minutes before the races start from Sep 2007.
Athletes Selection Trial (Field Events)
In order to provide a better competition environment for athletes to achieve good result in field events, the maximum number of athletes will be limited to 16. If the number of entries of certain field events exceeds 35, athletes have to be qualified from the Local Athletes Selection Trial in order to enter the competition. The Selection Trial will be held during the Evening Training Session in the Wednesday before the competition , clubs will be notified about the details of the Trial prior to the event.
Roll Call :
All athletes must report to the Roll Call Station on time, officials will escort the reported athletes to the competition area after the end of the call. Athletes who fail to report to the Roll Call Station will be treated as absence and will not be allowed to compete in that event.

Relay teams are requested to submit their team lists to roll call station in 1 hour prior to the competition. Any late submission will not be accepted and the team will be disqualified.
If only one athlete is reported to Roll Call Station on race day, this particular event will be cancelled. Entry fee of the reported athlete will then be refunded after the race.
IAAF and HKAAA rules will be applied in this competition.
HKAAA Track & Field Committee reserves the rights to amend and interpret the above rules and regulations.
