「港鐵競步賽2010」現已接受報名! 去年賽事吸引了超過一千四百名競步健兒參加,刷出新紀綠。今年的競步賽邀請到來自亞太區的競步好手參加男子及女子精英組賽事,與本地的健兒互相切磋和交流心得。此外,今年亦新增了三公里組的賽事,特別為想進一步挑戰自己競步水平的參賽人士而設。

港鐵公司一向致力推廣步行對身體好的訊息,並繼續與香港業餘田徑總會攜手舉辦一年一度的「港鐵競步賽」,並將於四月十八日在中環商業中心地段舉行。請即報名參加,一齊「行多O的,健康O的」!

"MTR HONG KONG Race Walking 2010" is now open for enrolment! Last year, a record 1,400 race walking enthusiasts participated. In 2010, top tier race walkers from across the Asia-Pacific will be competing in the Men's and Women's Elite races, giving the opportunity for local race walkers to learn winning skills and techniques from overseas athletes. In addition, a new 3km walk has been introduced, for those who want to further develop and test their own potential in Race Walking.

As part of the MTR Corporation's commitment to promote walking for better health, the Corporation continues to co-organise the annual Race Walking event with Hong Kong Amateur Athletic Association. The 2010 Event is scheduled to take place on 18 April 2010 in the heart of the Central business district. Register now and walk more for better health!

競步是什麼? What is Race Walking?

競步是從普通走路的基礎上發展出來的,運動員競步時,雙腳不能同時離地,前腿的足(腳)跟從觸地的一瞬間始,至支牚部份(即重心)都應該伸直,亦即膝關節不得彎曲。競步可鍛鍊運動員身體的協調和耐力。與跑步相比,競步是一項低撞擊運動,對關節的傷害較小,適合普羅大眾參與。

Race Walking is developed from normal walking. Athletes are required to keep at least one foot on the ground at all times while the advancing leg should be straight when the heel hits the ground. Race Walking develops an athlete's coordination and endurance. It is a low impact sport when compared to running, with a lower possibility of joint injuries, making it suitable for a wide spectrum of the general public to enjoy.
