For a performance to be considered for ratification as records of HKAAA, it must fulfill the following conditions:
1. It must satisfy all the requirements for inclusion in Hong Kong rankings.
2. The application with all information required for record ratification, including official program of the meet, competition schedule, copy of the finish photo and record of electronic timing, record of wind speed, official result issued by the meet organizer, etc., must be submitted to HKAAA office within 1 month from the competition date.
3. Proof of permanent residence in Hong Kong must be included in the application for Hong Kong / Hong Kong Junior Records.
4. Copy of valid HKAAA athlete’s registration card must be included in the application for HKAAA / HKAAA Junior Records.
5. Likewise, proof of the date of birth must be included in the application for Hong Kong Junior / HKAAA Junior Records.
6. Requirements on athlete’s eligibility are as follows:
a) Hong Kong Record
i)Current resident in Hong Kong for 7 consecutive years or more and
ii) Holders of HKSAR/BNO/British (under the British Nationality Selection Scheme) Passports, or Holders of passports of other nationalities for non-Chinese residents who were born and raised in Hong Kong before 1997.
b) Hong Kong Junior Record
i) Current resident in Hong Kong for 7 consecutive years or more and
ii) Holders of HKSAR/BNO/British (under the British Nationality Selection Scheme) Passports, or Holders of passports of other nationalities for non-Chinese residents who were born and raised in Hong Kong before 1997.
iii) Athletes must born on or after 1 Jan 1988.
c) HKAAA Records
i) Registered athlete of the HKAAA.
d) HKAAA Junior Records
i) Registered athlete of the HKAAA.
ii) Athletes must born on or after 1 Jan 1988.
e) All Comers Records
i) Competitor taking part in events in Hong Kong Which are sanctioned or organized by HKAAA.
f) Hong Kong Age Group Records
i) Performance must be made in Hong Kong Age Group Athletic Meets organized by HKAAA.
ii) New records can only be placed in the age group in which the athletes competed when they entered.
